Safe DIY sunscreen

sun protection krem przeciwłoneczny DIY

In response to a request from my Instagram mate, I present you a DIY sunscreen recipe that I make myself and of course use. I use natural cold-pressed oils which naturally contain skin care substances and SPF filters, what makes my cream safe for my body. However, I would like to point out that the content of SPF in oils is not standardized in any way and you never really know how much of it is there. Let everyone choose what they want and consider what is good for them!

50g Shea butter (SPF 3-6)

20g bee wax

50g sweet almond oil (SPF ~5)

50g macadamia nut oil (SPF ~6)

25 drops of carrot seeds oil (SPF ~40)

25 drops of raspberry seeds oil (SPF 28-50)

25g extra virgin olive oil

15g zinc oxide ZnO

1 łyżeczka karoten öl**

5 cinnamon essential oil

**(Ingredients: Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oil, Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil, Zea Mays (Corn) Germ Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Glycine Soja (Soy-bean) Oil, Daucus Carota (Carrot) Extract Flavor (Aroma), Arnica Montana Extract.Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel Extract Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Extract, Ledum Palustre(Labrador Tea) Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool)

Prepare a water bath: place a jar with oils in a pot with very warm water. (do not add zinc oxide yet). Let them become liquid and stir sometimes, the hardest thing is to liquefy the wax, so it will take you a while.

Finally, add the zinc oxide, taking particular care not to inhale the dust. If you want to transfer obtained carem to another container, remember that when cleaning the jar, do not rinse the remaing zinc oxide under running water, but wipe the remains with a paper towel and throw it into the trash.
