Mashed avocado paste with dill pickles and onion (gluten free, vegan, AIP paleo)


  • 1/2 small onion
  • 2 dill pickles
  • 1 very big avocado or 2 small
  • 1 heaped tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 flat tsp iodine free salt
  • 1/3 tsp ground black pepper


  1. Dice onion finely, transfer to a small bowl, add salt, pepper and olive oil and set aside for a while.
  2. Dice dill pickles finely, Peel and mash avocado with fork in a little bowl and add to a bowl with prepared onion. Add nutritional yeast.
  3. Mix well with the spoon and garnish with fresh dill and dried sweet red pepper.
